'While cooking the celebrated salmon for his master, Fionn (mac Cumhaill) accidentally burnt his thumb while popping a blister on the skin of the fish. Without thinking he put the thumb to his mouth to cool it, instantly absorbing all the knowledge of the universe'.

'The Salmon of Knowledge' (Irish: An Bradán Feasa), is a creature in the Fenian Cycle of Irish mythology.

Constructed out of four separate vintage seascape photographs, I made this for the 2024 Members exhibition at Ebor Studio. While this collage consists of seascapes, its counterpart 'Bradán Feasa' was made using only images of rivers and waterfalls, and can be found in the Print Shop.

Available as a giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper, this print of a hand cut paper collage can also be purchased framed, with three options to choose from.
